    PURCHASE TERMS
    BUY IT NOW OFFERS
We consider reasonable offers on select items offered in our eBay store. If there is no option to accept offers in the listing, this item is sold as "fixed price".
We do not accept offers to sell any items outside of eBay.
We use zip codes to determine our cost of shipping before accepting an offer. Changing the zip code (and/or country) after an offer is made will void the offer. We will relist the item and ask that you resubmit a new offer using the correct shipping zip code and/or country (for International orders).
    PAYMENTS
Please finalize payment within 3 days of the end of listing. eBay automatically issues non-payment warnings after 3 days. Please respect our listings and only bid if you intend to pay in a timely manner.
Make sure that your correct shipping address is reflected with your payment. We cannot ship to “alternate” addresses not listed as the “ship to” address with your payment.
    USA Shipping
Free USA Shipping Offers do not apply to PO Boxes, Hawaii or Alaska.
We choose the most economical method of shipping to help keep costs down. We typically use Fed Ex Ground delivery for medium to large packages that includes insurance, tracking, and estimated day of delivery.
    Alternative Shipping Methods
If you require shipping to a PO Box, Hawaii or Alaska, please contact us prior to bidding or buying. USPS service may require additional charges depending on location, size of package and shipping method requested.
    Extra Large Items
Some items we offer require shipment via freight services or Greyhound Package Express. Please check the description for information regarding these services. Greyhound Package Express requires the buyer to pick up items within 3 days at the closest Package Express location. Please contact us if you have any questions.
    International Shipping
Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.
Customs fees are normally charged by the shipping company or collected when you pick the item up. These fees are not additional shipping charges.
We won't under-value merchandise or mark the item as a gift on customs forms. Doing so is against U.S. and international laws and prevents proper valuation for insurance purposes.
International shipments are via Priority Mail or using eBay’s Global Shipping Service to ensure item can be tracked. We no longer ship via 1st Class Mail because this method does not offer tracking services. Some items are restricted or have size & weight limitations that prevent them from being shipped to your country. We have no control over these restrictions and do not falsify documents to circumvent these restrictions.
Please allow 30 days for arrival. Most items will arrive sooner, however, customs & security processing may create delays while your package is in transit.

    Description:
One of the earliest Flensted mobiles, created by Christian Flensted in 1956.  An elegant and beautiful mobile with five white swans, symbolizing the nations of Scandinavia.
Note: Swans are white - image of gray wings are actually shadows from light casting downward in the image.
    A bit about mobiles:
Mobiles are designed so that the elements are in constant motion while the entire mobile maintains a harmonic balance.  Smaller mobiles must be light to accomplish movement and harmonic balance.
    About Flensted
Christian Flensted first designed the Stork mobile in 1953 which was a great success, and now flies all over the world.
Christian Flensted became known as the "Uromager", a name impossible to translate into English, which means a "maker of mischievous things that are always on the move".
In 1956 Christian Flensted gave up his job to devote his entire effort to the fledgling mobiles business, then based in Aalborg, Jutland.  Since then, Flensted has been making its objects in motion.  Christian and his wife, Grethe passed on its tradition to their son, Ole and his wife Aase who continue the family tradition near Brenderup, Funen, which is still the FLENSTED MOBILE CENTRE.  They continue to develop ideas for new and original mobiles regularly from their "Department of Space Research".
Flensted Mobiles are so designed that the elements are in constant motion while the entire mobile maintains a harmonic balance.
Creating mobiles is not just their job, it is their life.
    How Flensted Produces Mobiles
Scattered around our island of Funen Denmark, skilled and diligent home-workers are mounting, assembling and packing the mobiles. Every 14 days they get new material for the mobiles - and when they return about a fortnight later, the mobiles are ready to fly - all over the world.
    Sustainable Production
This is how it works – instead of 50 people every day drive into the "factory" and assemble mobiles, they work from their homes. Every 2 weeks Flensted makes one visit to all their workers and exchange unassembled parts for mobiles packaged and ready to ship.
Flensted has been doing this for nearly 60 years.
This method of producing, saves more than 10 tons of fuel every year.
