Since 1907 the Isle of Man has played host to the annual Tourist Trophy (TT) for motorcycles and has gladly welcomed racing enthusiasts and their machines from all over the world. It has now become a premier event in the motorcycling calendar and to celebrate the 2011 TT Races, Pobjoy Mint has issued, on behalf of the Isle of Man Government, two stunning new coins which celebrate two milestones in the history of the TT Races.
The Snaefell Mountain Course has been part of the road racing circuit for 100 years and has been used since 1911. To celebrate this anniversary a new Crown has been issued featuring two riders battling for position over an outline map of the Isle of Man. The design also incorporates the famous TT Logo.
BU, Copper-Nickel , 28.28 g. , 38.5mm in diameter.
