    In 1996, the Royal Mint and the Bank of England  produced a Limited Issue £5 Five Pound Banknote and £5 Five Pound Crown Set to commemorate the Queen's 70th Birthday.
    The £5 Five Pound Banknote is of the current series in issue and shows the cypher HM70 and a serial number between 1 and 5,000.
    The Bank of England have issued this cypher in honour of this very special occasion.
    HM70 will not be produced for general circulation and therefore these are the only notes to have this cypher.
    The new £5 Five Pound Crown of 1996 celebrates Her Majesty, The Queen's 70th Birthday.
    The reverse designed by Avril Vaughan and depicts Windsor Castle as a backdrop, the Union Jack and the Queen's personal flag.
    The two accompanying pennants bear the anniversary dates of 1926 and 1996.
    The obverse, designed by Raphael Maklouf, bears an elegant portrait of the Queen.
